Refunds and cancellations

This policy applies to paid professional engagements with AppNet Automation: security event analytics reviews, anomaly investigations, detection workshops, and quarterly retainers. It does not cover product sales or physical goods — we do not sell those.

Eligibility

Refunds depend on how far work has progressed against the signed statement of work. Informational website pricing is not a charge until you accept a written scope and we invoice.

Timeframe to request

Cancellation or refund requests should be emailed to [email protected] within 14 days of the triggering event (for example, cancellation notice or disputed invoice), unless the statement of work sets a different window.

Full refund

If you cancel more than 10 business days before a scheduled kickoff and no sample intake or analysis has begun, prepaid fees for that engagement are refunded in full, minus any non-recoverable travel costs already approved in writing for on-site work.

Partial refund

If work has started, we invoice for completed stages (scoping, sample intake, analysis days, workshop sessions delivered) and refund any unused prepaid balance. Day-rate investigations bill only days worked.

Non-refundable items

• Completed analysis days and delivered reports
• Workshop sessions already facilitated
• Approved third-party travel or venue costs incurred for on-site sessions
• Retainer quarters once the quarter’s kickoff meeting has occurred, except as noted under rescheduling

Deposits

Some reviews require a deposit to reserve calendar time. Deposits apply to the final fee. They are refundable under the full-refund rules above; otherwise they are credited against work performed.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule a kickoff or workshop once without fee if you give at least 5 business days’ notice. Later changes may incur a reschedule fee of one investigation day rate to cover prep refresh.

No-shows

If client stakeholders miss a scheduled workshop or walkthrough without 24 hours’ notice, that session counts as delivered.

Work already started

Once sample analysis or report drafting has begun, fees for those stages are due even if you later pause the engagement. We can archive work-in-progress for up to 60 days upon request.

Process and timing

Approved refunds are processed within 15 business days to the original payment method where possible. Bank transfers may take longer depending on your institution.

Exceptions

If we cancel an engagement for reasons other than client breach, you receive a full refund of prepaid unused fees. Mandatory consumer protections under Korean law, where applicable, take precedence over this policy.
